What's your Job Search IQ?

Eleven questions about what you actually did, not how you see yourself. You get a score out of 100, which of eight types you are, and three things to do this week.

The assessment, answered

What does the score actually measure?
Technique — the parts of a job search you control. How role-specific your applications are, how focused your target is, whether you check the hard requirements before applying, whether anything gets sent, and whether you can find what you applied to. It deliberately ignores how many replies you have had, because that is the market as much as it is you. Someone doing everything right in a collapsed sector should not be told they have a low score.
Is this a personality test?
No. Every question asks what you actually did — how many applications you sent in the last two weeks, how long a role sits before you apply, what stopped you sending the last one. Nothing asks how you see yourself. That is why the result can tell you something specific to do rather than describing your character back to you.
Why does rewriting my resume for every job not score highest?
Because it is a lot of work aimed at the thing that moves least. A rewritten resume mostly reshuffles the same evidence into new sentences, and the person screening it is checking whether you can evidence the requirements, not comparing your prose. Choosing which of your real experience to lead with moves more and takes minutes. Rewriting still scores well above doing nothing — it is real effort, just expensive.
Do I need an account to see my result?
No. The score, the type, the diagnosis and all three actions are shown to everyone, every time, with nothing held back and no limit on retakes. The scoring runs in your browser, so your answers never reach our servers at all.
